“I have a friend named Conor” is a story told by a pretty active man about his very loyal pal, an Irish setter who is always ready, willing, and eager to follow his lead. Like the saga of Max, the Sea-Dog, this one also takes place on an island just off the shore of Cape Cod. It differs, however, in the feeling conveyed by the storyteller at the very end. The narrative is driven by the evocative drawings of Evanleigh Davis, who also designed the little book.
